Principal's Message

It is a matter of immense pride and pleasure for me to welcome you all 'virtually' to Janta Vedic College, Baraut, Baghpat. The college is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Grade 'A' CGPA 3.39 in its 62nd executive meeting dated 5/01/2013, and conferred as College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) status by UGC in 2016.

The college was established long time back in 1917, initially as "Jat Vedic High School" by the collective efforts of the then poor peasantry of the region. It was established with a motive to fulfil vital necessity of science and agriculture education in the locality. The people of the region having a deep faith in Arya Samaj came together, formed a society named JatShikshaSabha and got it registered in 1920 under Society Registration Act.Jat Vedic High School flourished to graduate level in 1949 and finally to the post graduate and research level in 1960, affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University (formerly Meerut University), Meerut, and was also included under section 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act.

Our college aims to convey an inclusive education. We as a team at Janta Vedic College are committed to impart overall education to our students comprised of theoretical knowledge well supported with practical workouts, along with imparting moral values. The college puts its high premium on overall development of the students and sculpting them into a morally upright, socially & politically aware and a responsible citizen to serve the nation. It is indeed one of the challenging concerns of the society and thereby of the college to keep the young generation rooted in Indian values, tradition and culture while at the same time, make them oriented towards the latest information and technology.

Consequently, the college respects its tradition but simultaneously emphasizes technology, development and innovation. Our college has 29 Departments under 3 Faculties — Science, Humanities, and Agriculture. Thus, throughout its glorious history, Janta Vedic College has always played a vital role in the field of UG-PG education in all the streams. We aim to provide tech-based inclusive higher education in an orderly, vibrant and hygienic environment.
